Nina Gaby is a writer, visual artist and psychiatric nurse practitioner living in New England. Her anthology, Dumped: Stories of Women Unfriending Women was just released this spring by She Writes Press. Gaby has contributed to numerous anthologies and periodicals including The Maternal is Political and I Wanna be Sedated by Seal Press, I Wasn’t Strong Like This When I Started Out: True Stories of Becoming a Nurse by In Fact Press/Creative Non-Fiction, fiction in Lilith magazine and Paper Journey Press anthologies,and she has guest-blogged on numerous sites including Brevity.com. She is currently working on series of mixed-media three-dimensional memoir vessels, her sculptural porcelain is in the permanent collection of the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian. Gaby is thrilled to be included in this anthology and feels it will serve as an important addition to the literature on trauma and post partum depression, most importantly, as personal narrative rather than academic, it will be accessible to the woman who will most benefit from it.
