“The story I chose to share is after the birth of my twins. While this was my 3rd pregnancy and I experienced PPD after my first child, it was particularly difficult and stressful with the twins. I could not bond with my surviving baby and I found myself completely in a fog. I wanted to share this experience because I felt so terribly alone. I thought I was a terrible mother and person. But I want other moms to know that they are not alone and that post partum mental health issues are a real problem and they should not be afraid to ask for help. I never asked for help and I suffered longer for it. I finally started seeing a therapist after over two years. I wish I had done that much sooner. Be well.”
